A Business Built on Conviction
Angelucci Logistics was born in the spring of 2009, when Elena Angelucci left a senior role at a major European freight operator with a conviction that mid-size businesses deserved the same attentiveness that global corporations received. She started with two refrigerated vans, a rented office in Prati, and a client list of four. Within eighteen months, the company had grown to a regional fleet of fourteen vehicles and signed its first cross-border contract with a manufacturer in Lyon.
The early years were defined by a simple principle: never promise what you cannot deliver, and always deliver more than you promise. That philosophy attracted clients who had grown frustrated with faceless carriers and automated hold lines. Angelucci offered something different — a direct phone number that actually answered, a named account manager who knew your business, and a tracking system that updated in real time before it was standard practice.
By 2015, the company had opened its first warehousing facility outside Rome, enabling clients to consolidate storage and distribution under a single provider. International routes followed, with dedicated customs brokerage partnerships established across twelve EU countries. A technology investment in 2019 brought a proprietary logistics management platform, reducing manual handling errors and improving route optimisation across the fleet.
Today, Angelucci employs over 140 people across operations, client services, and fleet management. We coordinate more than 12,000 shipments each month for clients ranging from artisan ceramics studios to national retail chains. The fleet has grown from two vans to over eighty vehicles. But the principle that started everything — that every shipment carries someone's livelihood — has not changed.
